This is a unique fundraiser with busy families in mind. You don't have to sell anything - deliver anything - or buy something you don't need, you also don't have to ask your friends or families to purchase something.

So how does this work? United Scrip is a fundraising company for non-profit organizations. United Scrip goes out to major retailers and purchases large quantities of "scrip" and passes the savings onto their members. Every retailer has a different percentage of savings, anywhere from 1.5% to 15%. Most of the retailers offer gift/debit cards, some are actual paper gift certificates.

NYST decided to begin this fundraiser to help our families offset the cost of their swim fees. United Scrip provides software to help keep track of all orders, the software allows organizations such as NYST to breakout how the profit is distributed. For instance a percentage of the profit goes to the team, a percentage to the families, and a percentage to the travel fund.  We will run "campaigns". Pay close attention to the different campaigns as they will change, along with the percentage that goes back to the family will change with each one.
